ScamSentry provides link scanning and phone number verification services. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Data We Collect
Server Information
- Server ID and configuration settings
- Channel IDs where bot is used
- Server administrator User IDs
Scan Data
- URLs and phone numbers submitted for scanning (temporarily cached)
- Scan timestamps and results
- User IDs who initiated scans (for rate limiting)
How We Use Your Data
Data is used to:
- Provide link and phone number intelligence
- Cache scan results to improve performance
- Prevent abuse and rate limiting
- Improve accuracy and detection
Data Storage
Scan results are cached temporarily (24-48 hours) to prevent redundant API calls. Server configuration is stored in secure MongoDB databases.
Third-Party Services
ScamSentry uses:
- VirusTotal API - Link scanning
- Google Safe Browsing - Threat detection
- Phone verification APIs - Number validation
Your Rights
You can request data deletion by removing the bot. For privacy questions, contact us via Discord (opens in a new tab).
Data Retention
Configuration data is deleted within 30 days of bot removal. Scan cache is automatically cleared after 48 hours.
